January/February/March 2012 Construction continues on the Bayou City & Gulf at Papa Ben's Train Place! Visit us at 4007-E Bellaire Blvd., Houston. The layout room is open most Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Operating sessions take place monthly - join the fun!  Above, BC&G action - six-axle power hustles a doublestack train over the main line in early January 2012.  Above and two below, with the mainline in service, N'Crowd members can take some time for personal projects.    Above, Richard Bartlett continues work on the BC&G engine facility.  Above and below, the roundhouse takes shape over the course of January.   Above, work continues in the refinery area.  Above, some unique power on a coal train moving on trackage rights over the BC&G in February 2012. Below, the BC&G big hook is ready to roll at Bayou City Yard.  Five below, Richard continued his efforts on the roundhouse in February. Note the interior lighting visible in the direct overhead view.      Above, N'Crowd provided a test track for free use at the 2012 Greater Houston Train Show.  Above and below, February also saw progress on the street trackage around Houston Union Station. Layout Master Charlie Aselin undertook most of this work.   March saw the first run of the new BC&G streamliner The Blubonnet. Above, the new train glides to a stop in Bennett.
